Hanji, Korea’s amazing handmade paper, has provided both usefulness and beauty to Korean culture for well over a thousand years. The paper’s strength makes it ideal for papercutting, as well as calligraphy, painting, and so much more.

Join The Hanji Crew, your instructors Libby Pomroy and Kat Wesley, for an afternoon of creative holiday ornament making. Using an X-Acto knife and templates provided by the instructors, cut designs from unique, strong, colorful mulberry paper – Korean hanji. Using a traditional paste, add your design to a lightweight wood disk for one-of-a kind ornaments.

They will walk you through the process of cutting the designs you select, and also have some designs already cut for you to use, if you choose. You should have time to make several ornaments in two sizes, 3-inch and 4-inch.
