Learn to make all-natural soap with John Hanson, owner/maker of the Longfellow Soap Company.
Due to the use of lye (used as it has been for over 5,000 years in soap making), part of the class will be a demonstration, but the class also includes a hands-on section with attendee participation.
Each student will take home at least 4 bars of handmade soap and a silicone mold.
Your Instructor will provide the following materials:
- A manual that includes equipment lists, sources for ingredients and where to buy locally, and John’s ‘secret recipe.’
Students are asked to bring the following materials:
- water/snacks, as there are no food facilities at the school.
Students ages 10 and older are welcome to attend this class. Ages 10-15 must register with another registered adult. Ages 16-17 can register with parent permission via an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
