For the love of knots, let’s learn about macrame! This class is designed to help beginners learn some basic knots in order to create a decorative wall hanging.
Students will get lots of practice making lark’s head, square, half hitch, and other knots, then finish by combing out the ends. Creativity is encouraged, and students can choose from a variety of colors to make their wall hanging.
Once you know how to make the knots, you can continue creating new designs at home.
Your instructor will provide the following materials:
- Wood dowel
- Macrame cord
- Comb
- Scissors, tape, and hooks to hold your work
Students are asked to bring:

No experience needed.
Age Requirement
Students ages 12 and older are welcome to attend this class. Ages 12-15 must register with another registered adult. Ages 16-17 can register with parent permission, which you can give with an email to info@marinemillsfolkschool.org.
