Learn to knit in this class for absolute beginners. No experience is necessary! If you’ve ever wanted to learn to knit, this class is for you. We’ll start off learning the knit stitch as we dive directly into our projects. Once comfortable with the knit stitch, we’ll learn how to do a knitted cast on and also how to bind off at the end of the project. We’ll cover both knitting in the round and knitting flat (to and fro).
The project will be a Nordic Wall Pocket, a pattern designed specifically to set the new knitter up for success, and using only the knit stitch. It’s a decorative wall-hanging, an organizer, a storage pocket for gloves and car keys, the remotes, a back-seat carry-all for wipes and crayons… The possibilities are endless. The finished Nordic Wall Pocket is approximately 8 ½” [22 cm] wide and 10” [25 cm] tall (not counting the tree branch), with the option to customize the size.
Class size will be small with plenty of time for individual help and questions. The atmosphere will be fun and relaxed. In fact, this is a great class to take together with a child (age 12 and up, must be accompanied by an adult).
Absolute beginner. No experience necessary.
Students ages 12 and older are welcome to register for the class. Ages 12-18 must be accompanied by a registered adult.

- It never hurts to bring a snack, either.
