Learn the art of embroidery and creating something by hand. In this class, students will learn to embroider six different stitches from the most basic to a little more challenging. Using only these six stitches, students will learn variations and how to combine stitches to create a colorful floral design. This class will focus on developing craftsmanship, learning technique, and embracing the process. The beauty of handmade is to see the maker’s hand in the work.
The finished design is 5 inches in diameter; a 6-inch wooden hoop is included to use during stitching and as a frame for the final finished piece. Stitches covered will be: French knot, feather stitch, fishbone stitch, detached chain stitch, woven circle, straight stitch, and quilter’s knot.
