Dip and Decorate Christmas Cookies with Gemma!

Join Gemma Lockrem at Christ Lutheran Church as she teaches you how to decorate cookies for Christmas.  Gemma is a passionate cook, when she is not teaching at MMFS, she is doing demonstrations for Nordic Ware.  She has so many tricks to teach even the best cookie decorater.  Cookies will be baked prior to class and ready for you to decorate.  Each participant will leave class with 2 dozen cookies to add to your Holiday Table.  This will be another great opportunity to begin your celebration of the Holiday Season.

Here is a short list of the types of cookies you will be decorating.

Chocolate Dipped Butter Cookies.
These yummy, buttery cookies have toffee bits in them to give a nice caramel flavor with a slight crunch. Dip them in melted chocolate for an absolutely eye-catching finish! Or leave them plain if you wish. 

Holiday Sugar Cookies
A classic of the season is a melt-in-your mouth sugar cookie decorated with festive frosting and other holiday sprinkles.

Your instructor will provide:

• Cookies to decorate
• Various different embellishments to use to decorate
• Baking and decorating tips and tricks

Students are asked to bring:

• Apron

Marine Mills Folk School recognizes how challenging it is to stay physically, mentally and socially strong in this environment. Each Create, Connect, Age Well session includes:

    •    Social connection and reflection time
    •    Coffee, tea and snacks
    •    Bonus activities to exercise the brain and stretch the imagination!

FEE: $30 per person
TIME: 9:30 a.m. – Noon
