(Waitlist) Basics of Yarn Dyeing – August 5, 2023

Have you ever wanted to know how to dye but were afraid of all the potions and mixtures to make that possible?  Well if you have, this class is for you! Join Polly Hart from Trippin’ with Dixie Fiber Co. as she walks you through the basics of using chemical dyes to create beautiful, hand-dyed by you, skeins of yarns.

Each student will have 5 skeins of yarn to dye with the paid materials fee.  The Instructor will have additional skeins available in all types of fibers for the students to purchase at $10 a skein.  This additional cost can be paid directly to the instructor.

Students to are asked to bring:
– Apron
– Mask (N95 or other)
– Wear clothes that can get dye on them.
– 4 trashy bath towels
– Willingness to learn
– Bag lunch and/or snacks

Instructor to bring:

All dyes and mordant.  Each student will have 5 skeins of yarn to dye.  Extra skeins will be available for purchase.

No experience needed

Age Requirement
Students ages 18 and older are welcome to attend this class.
