Tuesday Night ‘Mend with Friends’ at 6:30pm (In-Person)
Date & Time: November 2 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
An event every month that begins at 6:30 pm on day First of the month, repeating until December 8, 2021
Class Fee: $Free
Class fee includes cost of material for this class, if provided.
Skill Level: Beginner
Set aside time for repair projects: join other menders as you stitch, patch, darn, stamp, and upcycle your clothing!
Grab something from your mending pile or fix something for a loved one. From functional to decorative, visible to invisible, there’s no right way to mend!
Mend with Friends is open to anyone interested in extending the life of their clothing through repair. No previous experience necessary. Molly Sanford will host the group and provide sewing machine and hand-sewing demos if needed. Share your knowledge and learn from others – get the support to complete your mending projects! FYI – we’ll be meeting at the same time, and together with, the weekly ‘Knit Night’ community group.
NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED TO ATTEND THIS GROUP.
Schedule: First Tuesday of November and December, 2021.
A $5 donation is encouraged, to help our nonprofit cover building costs. However, all are welcome and no one will be turned away.
Please bring water/snacks, as there are no food facilities at the school.
Due to special health considerations, all attendees are required to wear masks and be vaccinated.
General Age Policy:
All classes are for adults (18+) unless otherwise noted.
Be aware we may cancel 5 days before class date if a minimum number of registrations not reached. We work to balance teachers' need to plan for a class with students' busy schedules -- not an easy task. Please register as early as possible!
