Jump aboard the charming Stillwater Trolley for a day of adventure! Join Heather Rutledge, Executive Director of ArtReach as you head north from Stillwater for behind the scenes tours, meet and greets with artists and hands-on demonstrations.
Marine Mills Folk School is excited to partner with ArtReach and Wahoo Adventures as participants will learn about a few ways to drink the summer away. We’ll focus on one local fruit, the strawberry, which lends itself extraordinarily well to a multitude of beverage incarnations. We’ll try it in kombucha (a fermented beverage), in a creative alcohol infusion, and also in a shrub (a concentrated syrup that combines fruit, sugar, and vinegar, resulting in a sweet, acidic mixer that can be enjoyed on its own or used in a variety of mixed drinks). All of these methods are easy to replicate at home, and you’ll take home a few recipes to help you get started.
The Marine Mills Folk School demonstration and hands-on learning will be the third stop of the August Art Trolley Tour. For more information and to register, visit Wahoo Adventures . Please note, you will not be registered for the Trolley Tour if you use the Marine Mills Folk School site. You must register and pay using the Wahoo Adventures site.
General Age Policy:
All classes are for adults (18+) unless otherwise noted.
Be aware we may cancel 5 days before class date if a minimum number of registrations not reached. We work to balance teachers' need to plan for a class with students' busy schedules -- not an easy task. Please register as early as possible!
