Intergenerational Age: 12+, each child must be accompanied by an adult.
Did you know folks have been knitting socks since the 11th century CE? Learning to knit opens up the door for a lifelong hobby that is both invigorating and meditative. You too can be one of those amazing people who can knit and watch the History channel at the same time!! In this class you will learn the basic stitches of knitting, how to start and finish a project, how to read knitting patterns, and how to choose yarn. You’ll leave armed with the knowledge, encouragement, and enthusiasm to be a knitter! Everyone ages 9-99 is welcome (younger children may be admitted pending instructor approval).
Special Note: Sara is encouraging adults to bring a young friend to this specific class, to introduce them to knitting in a fun, supportive setting. There is no charge for an additional person, each child must be accompanied by an adult — just complete registration for 1 adult and then note the name and age of your ‘partner’ in the Order Notes section of the registration.
Be aware we may cancel 5 days before class date if a minimum number of registrations not reached. We work to balance teachers’ need to plan for a class with students’ busy schedules — not an easy task. Please register as early as possible!
