Come as you are and bring a knitting project you’re in the middle of, or have been meaning to start! Find a new friend or meet up with an old one, to enjoy time knitting together. This group will be a haven for knitters where everyone is valued. Knitters are wonderful at supporting each other, this will be an opportunity to learn and share knowledge. Liz Towers will be your host and ‘knitting coach’ as need be, to help you through a rough spot or to just be a big encourager! Pop in after work or after dinner to fight off seasonal dreariness with a shot of friendliness and good cheer.
Schedule: Beginning Tuesday, October 15, then every other Tuesday through Dec. 10th
Liz plans to focus on what the group is interested in, but in addition will offer a short, practical knitting tip each week. Would the group like to do some charity knitting for a specific cause? How about a ‘Knit-Along’ where all work on the same project? Or a ‘Local Knitter Trunk Show’, where knitters can bring in their work. She’s got some fun ideas to share and will be looking for your ideas as well.
Hot beverages will be available, attendees are encouraged to bring pot luck snacks. A $5 donation is requested, to help our nonprofit cover costs. However, all are welcome and no one will be turned away.
It’s not required, but it would be helpful for everyone to register for this first evening, so we can figure out if people are interested in an evening activity of this type. Thanks!
