Have you always thought about making your own maple syrup? How do you know if you have the right trees? How much sap does it take? (40 gallons for 1 gallon of syrup! ) How does it get transformed into the wonderful golden elixir we love on our pancakes?
We welcome local experts Dave Swager and Jim Smith, who will take us through all the steps in producing maple syrup. We will meet at a nearby property to see how trees are tapped and follow the process from start to finish. There’s a good possibility we will be right in the middle of cooking time, which is a sight to see!
If you have a group of friends or family interested in sharing trees, why not sign up and come as a group? Everyone will leave with a delicious bottle of the true nectar of the gods!
