This class will take place at Belwin Conservancy’s Stagecoach Prairie, 825 Stagecoach Trail South, Afton, MN.
Are you curious about the natural world? Would you like to play with poetry as a way to paint a scene and convey what you observe in wild places?
Join environmental author and poet Laurie Allmann for a morning of engaging conversation on the art and craft of poetry writing, with perspectives on writing about science and nature; solo time to explore; and writing exercises inspired by the beautiful natural setting of Belwin Conservancy in Afton. Opportunity will be provided for participants who wish to share and discuss works-in-progress.

- Bring a small backpack with water, notebook, pen/pencil, and
- Binoculars (if you wish)
- Experienced and beginning writers all welcome!
- Open to ages 18 & up.
- There will be some low-intensity walking, let us know if you have mobility issues so we can plan to accommodate your needs.
In the interest of COVID safety for all, we’ll practice social distancing and the wearing of masks: Current CDC guidance says that unvaccinated people are still safest wearing masks when in outdoor gatherings with small groups of vaccinated and unvaccinated people.
