Join glass artist Susan Tracy and make a set of four handcrafted 3 1/2 inch fused glass bowls to enjoy or give as gifts.
This fun workshop introduces the art of glass fusing and slumping. What is glass fusing and slumping, you ask? Simply described, fusing is joining two pieces of glass together using heat, while slumping transforms a piece of glass using heat and gravity to fit into a mold. But this class is much more than simple words, as Susan will help you discover the fun of using your own hands and creativity to design your own bowls! No experience with glass is necessary.
You can make your bowls in an array of dazzling colors and designs. They are versatile and can be used for sauces, condiments, jewelry, candies, or as decorations. After the workshop, Susan will fuse and slump your creations in her studio and return them to Marine Mills Folk School. They will be ready for pick-up in three weeks.
