A picture is worth a thousand words!  This class will empower students to begin to capture images that express themselves in relation to the world around them.

Students will be introduced to technical and aesthetic aspects of photography, providing them with the foundation for life-long enjoyment & expression.

This class is on 2 consecutive Saturdays from 9:00-11:30 each Saturday.

Bonus:  At the end of class, each student will own their own digital camera! The camera will be a reconditioned “grown-up” camera that has been generously donated to encourage kids to develop a love of photography.

Each child must be accompanied by an adult for both sessions:  Adults are invited to share in the fun of learning a new skill with a younger person, and will learn tips on how to encourage their kids to further develop this newly acquired skill.   There is no charge for the additional person, just complete the registration for 1 adult and note the name and age of student photographer in the comment section of the registration.

NOTE: Be aware we may cancel 5 days before class date if a minimum number of registrations not reached. We work to balance teachers’ need to plan for a class with students’ busy schedules — not an easy task. Please register as early as possible!

Please bring water/snacks and lunch if needed, as there are no food facilities at the school.

Please note: We’ve changed how each student pays for the material used during each in-person class.  Each registration fee now combines the material fee and the instructor fee.  We’ve made this change based on feedback from instructors and participants: instructors can focus more on teaching their class, and students don’t need to remember to bring the material fee to pay directly to the instructor.

NOTE: Be aware we may cancel class if a minimum number of registrations is not reached. We work to balance teachers’ need to plan for a class with students’ busy schedules — not an easy task. Please register as early as possible!
