Elena Bantle
Elena Bantle has never met a craft that she didn’t like!
She lives on about 5 acres on the edge of Duluth, with her wife, her 18 year old Alaskan husky, snuggly cat, chickens and goats.
Her crafts vary widely, but share a common wonder for the natural world and its abundance.
She is a kayak guide and gardener, but also does woodcarving, cheese and soap making, working with fiber, weaving birch bark, harvesting and preserving wild foods, and making earrings from found and natural materials.
She believes strongly that all people should have access to playfully and meaningfully create, and that to do so is fundamental to being human.
