Create, Connect, Age Well Presents:

Holiday Cookies as Art with Gemma!

Have you ever thought of cookies as a blank canvas?  And of frosting and edible embellishments as artistic mediums?  Come and get creative, learn new techniques, and make your own edible artistic creations for yourself and to share with others!

Instructor Gemma Lockrem, who is a passionate baker and cook, will teach you holiday cookie decorating techniques.  When Gemma is not teaching at MMFS, she is teaching baking and cooking classes and leading demos at NordicWare.  Gemma has many tricks to teach even the best cookie decorator.  Cookies will be baked prior to class and ready for you to use as your blank canvas.  Each participant will decorate three different types of cookies, and leave class with 1.5 dozen cookies.  This will be a great opportunity to begin your celebration of the holiday season!

Your instructor will provide:

• Cookies to decorate
• Various different embellishments to use to decorate
• Baking and decorating tips and tricks

Students are asked to bring:

• Apron, if desired

• A safe and welcoming environment to try something new!
• Coffee, tea and snacks

Age Guideline
Students ages 65 and older.  Do you want to participate but are not quite 65? Contact us at info@marinemillsfolkschool.org or 612-440-6295.

NOTE:  Be aware we may cancel class if a minimum number of registrations is not reached. We work to balance a teacher’s need to plan for a class with students’ busy schedules — not an easy task. Please register as early as possible!
