NOTE:   Be aware we may cancel class if a minimum number of registrations is not reached. We work to balance teachers’ need to plan for a class with students’ busy schedules — not an easy task. Please register as early as possible!

Are you are looking to go deeper into your craft?  Then this class is for you!

Join us to learn about how wool becomes yarn. You'll learn the basics of this material processing, giving you an understanding of how to create your own yarn for other fiber and knitting projects. Kirsten and Dan are just the people to guide you!

Over the course of two sessions we will cover why wool spins, how to prepare wool for spinning, the basics of the spinning wheel and how to spin on a spinning wheel.

  • Session 1: will teach the basics of fiber preparation, drafting and spinning on a drop spindle.
  • Session 2: will teach spinning on a spinning wheel, plying and finishing your skein.

All materials and equipment will be provided by your instructors. All that students must bring is a wllingness to learn!
