Here's another skill to add to your growing crochet passion! Learn the basics of Tunisian crochet, which is best described as a cross between crochet and weaving that produces a waffle-like texture. Tunsian crochet is believed to have been started by the French in the early 1800’s, when patterns began to appear in needlework publication.  Whatever it's origins, you'll find Tunisian crochet is easy to learn and fun to work with.

First, you'll learn about the different tools you can use and yarns that work best for this craft. Then you'll practice the basic Tunisian crochet stitch by working up a cotton dishcloth. You can even make stripes or color blocks by alternating colors. Finally, you'll learn about other stitches, how to finish your projects, and how to block for better shaping.

The kit includes a Tunisian crochet hook and cotton yarn to make a dishcloth. You can choose from a variety of colors during the class.
