This is for the birds……does it seem like there are more birds this spring than ever before? That’s a benefit of slowing down and paying more attention to the natural life next to us. Here are some resources for learning more about birds.

- Ever felt like everyone knows the names of different birds except you? Merlin Bird ID by Cornell Lab is a highly rated free app.
- iBird Pro Guide to Birds is not free but helps identify birds by sight and by their song.
- Birding in Minnesota with the Audubon Society General information about good areas for birding and what types of birds to look for.
- Loon Cam 2020! There are two eggs on the nest of last week….watch live!
- Minnesota has the National Eagle Center in Wabasha! While the center is closed due to Covid, their website is full of Eagle information. Check it out!
- Bird Watching with Children. Birdwatching Daily has a great article about birding with children.
- When you become a serious bird watcher, binoculars are a must. Birdwatching Bliss has ranked binoculars for you.
- And finally the National Park Services offers Birders for Beginners.
